The species Loktanella soesokkakensis was originally described by Park et al. 2013. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 155 in 2014. In 2018, Wirth and Whitman established as the basonym of (Park et al. 2014) Wirth and Whitman 2018 .
