Nomenclatural History	The species Lutimaribacter pacificus was originally described by Iwaki et al. 2013. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 154 in 2013. Iwaki et al. formed this name in 2013 by placing the species Oceanicola pacificus Yuan et al. 2009 into the genus Lutimaribacter Yoon et al. 2009.
