The species Pseudomonas kunmingensis was originally described and validly published by Xie et al. 2014. Lalucat et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Wolterink et al. 2002 in 2020. In 2022, Lalucat et al. established as the basonym of (Xie et al. 2014) Lalucat et al. 2022 .
