Nomenclatural History
The species Pararhodospirillum photometricum was originally described and validly published by Lakshmi et al. 2014. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Lakshmi et al. formed this name in 2014 by placing the species Molisch 1907 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Lakshmi et al. 2014.
