The species Siccibacter turicensis was originally described and validly published by Stephan et al. 2014. Jackson et al. published an emended description of this species in 2015. Stephan et al. formed this name in 2014 by placing the species (Stephan et al. 2007) Brady et al. 2013 into the genus Stephan et al. 2014.
