The species Mycobacterium celeriflavum was originally described and validly published by Shahraki et al. 2015. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. In 2018, Gupta et al. established as the basonym of (Shahraki et al. 2015) Gupta et al. 2018 .
