Nomenclatural History
The species Nocardioides montaniterrae was originally described by Srinivasan et al. 2014. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 162 in 2015.

The original name purposed in the effective reference (Nocardioides soli) was already in use. An erratum was published changing the name to Nocardioides montaniterrae.
