Nomenclatural History	The species Planctopirus limnophila was originally described by Scheuner et al. 2014. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 162 in 2015. Upon validation, this name was corrected from Planctopirus limnophilus (sic) to Planctopirus limnophila . Scheuner et al. formed this name in 2014 by placing the species Planctomyces limnophilus Hirsch and Müller 1986 into the genus Planctopirus Scheuner et al. 2015.
