Nomenclatural History

The species Rhodococcus biphenylivorans was originally described by Su et al. 2015. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 163 in 2015. Lee and Kim established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Rhodococcus pyridinivorans Yoon et al. 2000 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018
in 2021.
