The species Paraburkholderia eburnea was originally described by Sawana et al. 2014. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 165 in 2015. formed this name in 2015 by placing the species Kang et al. 2014 into the genus Sawana et al. 2015 emend. Dobritsa and Samadpour 2016.
