Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudoroseovarius crassostreae was originally described by Sun et al. 2015. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 166 in 2015. Sun et al. formed this name in 2015 by placing the species Boettcher et al. 2005 into the genus Park et al. 2015 emend. Dobritsa and Samadpour 2016. Dobritsa and Samadpour established as a later homotypic synonym of (Boettcher et al. 2005) Park et al. 2015 in 2016.
