Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudomonas flexibilis was originally described by Shin et al. 2015. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 168 in 2016. Shin et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Xin et al. 2009 in 2015. Shin et al. formed this name in 2015 by placing the species Hespell 1977 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Migula 1894 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Yang et al. 2013.
