The species Pseudarthrobacter phenanthrenivorans was originally described and validly published by Busse 2016. Busse and Schumann published an emended description of this species in 2019. Busse formed this name in 2016 by placing the species Kallimanis et al. 2009 into the genus Busse 2016 emend. Busse and Schumann 2019.
