Proper Form
| Parachlamydiales Gupta et al. 2016 |
Nomenclatural History
|
The order Parachlamydiales was originally proposed by Gupta et al. 2015. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 170 in 2016.
The Subcommittee on the Taxonomy of Chlamydiae (Boren et al. 2018) recommends "to reject the proposal of Parachlamydiales ord. nov." Tindall 2019 disputes that recommendation.
