Nomenclatural History

The genus Algoriella was originally proposed by Yang et al. 2015. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 167 in 2016. García-López et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2019. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Li et al. in 2021.
