Nomenclatural History
The species Kitasatospora albolonga was originally described by Labeda et al. 2017. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 176 in 2017. Labeda et al. formed this name in 2017 by placing the species Tsukiura et al. 1964 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017.
