Nomenclatural History
The species Propioniciclava sinopodophylli was originally described and validly published by Zhang et al. 2017. In 2020, Wenning et al. established as the basonym of (Zhang et al. 2017) Wenning et al. 2020 .

Li et al. 2021 create a competing taxonomic opinion with Wenning et al. 2020, disagreeing with the new combination of Propioniciclava sinopodophylli into the novel genus Brevilactibacter.
