Nomenclatural History
The species Neomegalonema perideroedes was originally described and validly published by Oren 2017. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. This name replaces the name Thomsen et al. 2006 . Oren formed this name in 2017 by placing the species Thomsen et al. 2006 into the genus Oren 2017.
