Nomenclatural History

The genus Tritonibacter was originally proposed and validly published by Klotz et al. 2018. Liang et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2021.
Liang et al. 2021 asserted a change to the type species of this genus. The type species remains Tritonibacter horizontis.
