The species Pseudobizionia ponticola was originally described and validly published by Park et al. 2018. Pei et al. published an emended description of this species in 2021. Pei et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of He et al. 2018 in 2021. In 2022, Huang et al. established as the basonym of (Park et al. 2018) Huang et al. 2022 .
