Nomenclatural History
The species Lactobacillus metriopterae was originally described and validly published by Chiba et al. 2018. Zhao and Gu published an emended description of this species in 2019. Zhao and Gu established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Kim et al. 2018 in 2019. In 2020, Zheng et al. established as the basonym of (Chiba et al. 2018) Zheng et al. 2020 .
