Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Diplosphaera was originally proposed by Wertz et al. 2012. Wertz et al. replaced this illegitimate name with
Didymococcus Wertz et al. 2017 emend. Tegtmeier et al. 2018
in 2017.
This generic epithet is illegitimate because it is a later honomym of Diplosphaera under the Botanical Code.
