Nomenclatural History
The species Diplosphaera colitermitum was originally described by Wertz et al. 2012. Wertz et al. replaced this illegitimate name with (Wertz et al. 2012) Wertz et al. 2017 emend. Tegtmeier et al. 2018 in 2017.

This name is illegitimate because the generic epithet is a later homonym of Diplosphaera under the Botanical Code.
