Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Adlercreutzia equolifaciens celatus was originally described by Nouioui et al. 2018. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 184 in 2018. Stoll et al. published an emended description of this subspecies in 2021. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Sakamoto et al. in 2021. In 2018, Nouioui et al. reduced Minamida et al. 2008 emend. Danylec et al. 2018 to the rank of subspecies.
