Nomenclatural History
The species Salinimonas sediminis was originally described and validly published by Cao et al. 2018. Cao et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. Cao et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Lin et al. 2018 in 2019. In 2021, Gago et al. established as the basonym of Gago et al. 2021 .
