Nomenclatural History

The species Peptoclostridium tenue was originally described by Yutin and Galperin 2013. Yutin and Galperin formed this name in 2013 by placing the species
Eubacterium tenue (Bergey et al. 1923) Holdeman and Moore 1970 (Approved Lists 1980)
into the genus Peptoclostridium Yutin and Galperin 2013 non Peptoclostridium Galperin et al. 2016.
Yutin and Galperin 2013 did not formally propose this new combination.
