The species Pseudomonas shirazica was originally described by Keshavarz-Tohid et al. 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 194 in 2020. Tohya et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Pseudomonas asiatica Tohya et al. 2019 emend. Tohya et al. 2020
in 2020.
