Nomenclatural History	The species Lacrimispora sphenoides was originally described and validly published by Haas and Blanchard 2020. Haas and Blanchard formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Clostridium sphenoides (Douglas et al. 1919) Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Lacrimispora Haas and Blanchard 2020. This name replaces the name Lachnoclostridium sphenoides (Douglas et al. 1919) Yutin and Galperin 2013 .
