Nomenclatural History
|
The species Labilibacter sediminis was originally described and validly published by Wang et al. 2020.
García-López et al. 2020 indicate that Labilibacter should be re-unified with Saccharicrinis, and transferred Labilibacter aurantiacus (the type species of Labilibacter) into Saccharicrinis, effectively unifying the genera. This novel species was proposed in a manuscript dating June 24, 2019, which pre-dates García-López et al. by several months but was published two months afterward. This species should likely be transferred to Saccharicrinis.
