Nomenclatural History
The species Alkalihalobacillus halodurans was originally described and validly published by Patel and Gupta 2020. Patel and Gupta formed this name in 2020 by placing the species (ex Boyer et al. 1973) Nielsen et al. 1995 emend. Liu et al. 2019 into the genus Patel and Gupta 2020 emend. Joshi et al. 2021. Joshi et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Li et al. 2002) Patel and Gupta 2020 in 2021.
