Nomenclatural History	The species Sporosarcina limicola was originally described by Gupta and Patel 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 193 in 2020. Upon validation, this name was corrected from Sporosarcina limcola (sic) to Sporosarcina limicola . Gupta and Patel formed this name in 2019 by placing the species Filibacter limicola Maiden and Jones 1985 into the genus Sporosarcina Kluyver and van Niel 1936 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Gupta and Patel 2019.
