Nomenclatural History	The species Lachnospira eligens was originally described by García-López et al. 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 193 in 2020. García-López et al. formed this name in 2019 by placing the species Eubacterium eligens Holdeman and Moore 1974 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Lachnospira Bryant and Small 1956 emend. Rogosa and Bryant 1974 (Approved Lists 1980).
