Nomenclatural History
The species Aminobacter carboxidus was originally described by Hördt et al. 2020. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 194 in 2020. Hördt et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species (ex Nozhevnikova and Zavarzin 1974) Meyer et al. 1994 into the genus Urakami et al. 1992 emend. Kämpfer et al. 2002. Artuso et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of McDonald et al. 2005 in 2021.
