Nomenclatural History	The species Brucella gallinifaecis was originally described by Hördt et al. 2020. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 194 in 2020. Hördt et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Ochrobactrum gallinifaecis Kämpfer et al. 2003 into the genus Brucella Meyer and Shaw 1920 emend. Brinley-Morgan and McCullough 1974 (Approved Lists 1980).
