Nomenclatural History	The species Ruegeria meteori was originally described by Hördt et al. 2020. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 194 in 2020. Hördt et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Agrobacterium meteori Rüger and Höfle 1992 into the genus Ruegeria Uchino et al. 1999 emend. Wirth and Whitman 2018.
