The species Lactobacillus argentoratensis was originally described and validly published by Li et al. 2020. In 2020, Liu and Gu established as the basonym of (Bringel et al. 2005) Liu and Gu 2020 . Li et al. elevated the subspecies Bringel et al. 2005 to the rank of species to form this name in 2020.
