Nomenclatural History	The species Erythrobacter sanguineus was originally described and validly published by Xu et al. 2020. Xu et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Porphyrobacter sanguineus (ex Ahrens and Rheinheimer 1967) Hiraishi et al. 2002 into the genus Erythrobacter Shiba and Simidu 1982 emend. Xu et al. 2020.
