Nomenclatural History
The family Zooshikellaceae was originally proposed by Liao et al. 2020. Huang et al. published an emended description of this family in 2021.

Zooshikellaceae Liao et al. would be illegitimate as it contravenes Rules 51a and 51b (1). The authors should have adopted Endozoicomonadaceae Bartz et al. 2018, which has priority.
