Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudodesulfovibrio senegalensis was originally described by Galushko and Kuever 2015. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 197 in 2021. Galushko and Kuever formed this name in 2019 by placing the species Thioye et al. 2017 into the genus Cao et al. 2016 emend. Waite et al. 2020.
