Nomenclatural History
The species Alkalihalobacillus alkalilacus was originally described by Gupta et al. 2020. This name was validly published by Gupta et al. 2020. Gupta et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Singh et al. 2018 into the genus Patel and Gupta 2020 emend. Joshi et al. 2021. In 2021, Joshi et al. established as the basonym of (Singh et al. 2018) Joshi et al. 2021 .

The corrigendum served as the valid reference due to corrections to the capitalization of the name.
