The species Caballeronia novacaledonica was originally described and validly published by Lozano et al. 2021. Lozano et al. published an emended description of this species in 2021. Lozano et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species Guentas et al. 2020 into the genus Dobritsa and Samadpour 2016.
