The genus Muriicola was originally proposed and validly published by Wang et al. 2021. Wang et al. replaced this illegitimate name with
Sinisalibacter Wang et al. 2021
in 2021.
Muriicola Wang et al. 2021 is an illegitimate later homonym of Muriicola Kahng et al. 2010.
