Nomenclatural History
|
The species Stenotrophomonas geniculata was originally described and validly published by Rudra and Gupta 2021. Rudra and Gupta formed this name in 2021 by placing the species
Pseudomonas geniculata (Wright 1895) Chester 1901 (Approved Lists 1980)
into the genus Stenotrophomonas Palleroni and Bradbury 1993 emend. Ouattara et al. 2017.
This new combination was first proposed by Saati-Santamaría et al. 2021, but prior to appearing on a Validation List, the publication by Rudra and Gupta 2021 in IJSEM established the valid publication of this name.
