Nomenclatural History	The species Alteromonas alterisediminis was originally described by Gago et al. 2021. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 202 in 2021. Gago et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species Salinimonas sediminis Cao et al. 2018 emend. Cao et al. 2019 into the genus Alteromonas Baumann et al. 1972 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Barbeyron et al. 2019.
