Proper Form
| Mageeibacillaceae corrig. Hildebrand et al. 2019 |
Nomenclatural History
|
The family Mageeibacillaceae was originally proposed by Hildebrand et al. 2019. Hildebrand et al. corrected this name from Erisaceae (sic) to Mageeibacillaceae .
Hildebrand et al. 2020 assert they are correcting Erisaceae Hildebrand et al. 2019 to Mageeibacillaceae. However, based on the taxa involved and nomenclatural type, they appear to in fact be correcting Discordiaceae and are referring to the wrong taxon.
