Nomenclatural History
The species Stutzerimonas zhaodongensis was originally described by Gomila et al. 2022. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 208 in 2022. Gomila et al. formed this name in 2022 by placing the species Zhang et al. 2015 into the genus Lalucat et al. 2022.

Lalucat et al. 2022 erroneously indicated NEAU-ST5-2 as the type strain.
