Nomenclatural History
The species Mycoplana azooxidifex was originally described and validly published by Kuzmanović et al. 2022. Kuzmanović et al. formed this name in 2022 by placing the species Behrendt et al. 2016 into the genus Gray and Thornton 1928 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Urakami et al. 1990.
