Nomenclatural History
|
The species Bacillus pulvifaciens was originally described by Katznelson 1950. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1984 the name was revived and validly published by Nakamura. In 1993, Ash et al. established Bacillus pulvifaciens as the basonym of
Paenibacillus pulvifaciens (Nakamura 1984) Ash et al. 1994
