Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces orinoci was originally described by Witt and Stackebrandt 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 38 in 1991. Witt and Stackebrandt formed this name in 1990 by placing the species Cassinelli et al. 1967 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend.
