The species Streptomyces pseudoechinosporeus was originally described by Goodfellow et al. 1986. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 22 in 1986. Goodfellow et al. established as a later homotypic synonym of (Konev et al. 1967) Pridham 1970 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1986.
